Professional development is a process that begins with creating a career plan, identifying gaps and then crafting actions to close those gaps. This process can be most effective by leveraging proven methods and tactics designed to deliver predictable results. Recently, I wrote an article on career planning and I provided a worksheet to serve as a guide for this process. In addition, I subsequently wrote an article on how to identify your gaps. I hope you were able to complete these critical steps.
In this article, I share three methods you should consider using when creating your development action plans. Doing so will help you achieve measurable and sustainable results.
