I had the pleasure of working for Terry while I was on assignment in Porte Alegre, Brazil. We both worked for Dell or (DALE) as Terry would point out my unique East Tennessee accent. In the role I was fortunate to learn sales and marketing first hand from Terry as I was responsible for Manufacturing Operations in his organization. Terry’s command and knowledge of the market, financials and the in country politics was amazing and I learned more about the total view of how to run a business than any other role in my career. Terry was very data driven, bold and direct in his view of how our team was to compete in the Brazilian market. Just as most roles you never really appreciate what you are learning or the experiences you are gaining until it is over.
