Executive Presentations Workshop

Overview

During this multi-session workshop, you will learn how to create and deliver executive presentations effectively usig proven learning and development philosophies, including the 70-20-10 approach to learning. In a small group setting, the cohort will review the key attributes of effective presenters, learn how to plan an executive presentation using proven planning techniques, understand how to deliver great presentations and understand how to practice with purpose.

In a separate setting that simulates an executive audience, you will have the opportunity to present your content and receive feedback, participate in the simulation through a roleplay exercise and by provide feedback to other participants. Post workshop coaching sessions are available to further explore the areas of opportunity and receive tips and tricks on how to improve. A measurement system is also available.

NOTE: All workshops are virtual.

What Will You Learn?

Increase your self-awareness, understand the important traits of effective presenters, adopt a system to prepare effective presentations, understand what executive audiences want, learn basic slide design principles and adopt effective learning techniques. You will learn the art of storytelling and how to engage audiences so they remember what you say.

Why is it Important?

A recent survey, conducted by Dave Paradi found that PowerPoint presentations “have become the de facto method of communicating.”, that “slides have too many words, too much data and no clear message”, and “most presentations look like Word or Excel files instead of PowerPoint slides.” What audiences want are well-structured, visual presentations delivered in an engaging manner.
