Eighteen percent are actively disengaged in their work and workplace, while 67% are &#8220;not engaged.&#8221; These employees are not bad performers, they are giving of their time, but not their best effort or ideas. These are very big numbers, and they are a sign of the times. Most of the &#8220;blame&#8221; can be put on companies that are doing less to motivate their employees. Smaller work areas, longer hours, larger workloads, infrequent performance feedback, and less time for development have yielded a highly disengaged workforce. That said we can&#8217;t continue to blame others, and as both managers and individuals, we must find a way to be fully engaged at work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this podcast, I will discuss nine traits of an engaged employee, eleven actions you can take as a leader to get your team more engaged, and five things you can do as an individual to elevate your level of engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you prefer to read this material on my website, you can also access the original article <a href=\"https:\/\/www.tkahler.com\/coach\/2018\/05\/fully-engaged\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may leave a comment below with your thoughts on this podcast.
